Ingredients
  

For Chicken Marinade:

  • 500 g chicken breast cut into strips
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

For Peanut Sauce:

  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste
  • ¼ cup warm water

Instructions
  

Prepare the Marinade

  • In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, oil, garlic, ginger, turmeric, paprika, pepper and lime juice. Stir well until everything is combined into a smooth marinade.

Marinate the Chicken

  • Add chicken strips to the marinade. Mix well so every piece is coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This helps the flavor absorb deeply.

Prepare Skewers

  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes. This prevents burning while grilling. Then thread marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers evenly.

Make the Peanut Sauce

  • In a bowl, mix peanut butter, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, chili paste and warm water. Stir until smooth and creamy. Adjust thickness with water if needed.

Preheat the Grill

  • Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill on medium-high heat. Lightly brush with oil. This helps prevent sticking and gives nice grill marks on chicken.

Grill the Chicken

  • Place skewers on the grill. Cook for 5–7 minutes on each side. Turn occasionally until chicken is golden, cooked through and slightly charred.

Serve with Sauce

  • Remove chicken from grill and place on a plate. Drizzle peanut sauce over the top or serve it on the side for dipping.
