Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped candied cherries
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup chopped pineapple candied or dried
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.

Mix the Butter and Sugar

  • In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.

Add the Eggs and Vanilla

  • Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix again until the mixture looks light and fluffy.

Combine Dry Items

  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir well.

Add Dry Mix to Wet Mix

  • Slowly add the dry mix to the wet mix. Stir until everything blends together.

Add Nuts and Fruits

  • Add chopped pecans, walnuts, cherries, pineapple, and dates. Mix gently with a spatula.

Scoop the Dough

  • Use a spoon to scoop small balls of dough onto the baking sheet. Keep space between them.

Bake the Cookies

  • Place the sheet in the oven. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.

Cool the Cookies

  • Remove the cookies from the oven. Let them cool on a rack for 10 minutes.
