  • Water 3/4 cup
  • Fruit juice 1/2 cup, any flavor
  • Gelatin powder 3 tablespoons
  • Powdered sugar 1/4 cup for dusting
  • Optional: Food coloring for extra colors

Instructions

Prepare Gelatin

  • In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons gelatin with 1/4 cup cold water. Let it bloom for 5 minutes.

Combine Sugar Mixture

  • In a saucepan, combine 2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup corn syrup, and 3/4 cup water. Stir and heat gently.

Heat Until Dissolved

  • Cook sugar mixture over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves completely. Use candy thermometer to check.

Add Fruit Juice

  • Remove sugar mixture from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup fruit juice and bloomed gelatin until smooth.

Add Coloring (Optional)

  • Add a few drops of food coloring if desired. Stir well to evenly mix colors.

Pour into Molds

  • Pour mixture into silicone molds or a greased small baking dish carefully. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Let it Set

  • Allow gumdrops to cool and set at room temperature for 2–3 hours until firm but soft.

Cut and Shape

  • Remove from molds or cut into small squares if using a dish. Shape into gumdrops if desired.

Coat with Sugar

  • Roll gumdrops in powdered sugar to prevent sticking. Shake off excess sugar gently.

Serve and Enjoy
