Ingredients

  • Sharp cheddar cheese – 1½ cups shredded
  • Jalapeños – 2 medium finely chopped
  • Garlic powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Paprika – ¼ teaspoon
  • Black pepper – ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt – ⅛ teaspoon
  • Optional: fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This prevents the crisps from sticking and makes clean-up easy.

Mix the Ingredients

  • In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, paprika, salt and black pepper. Stir well until everything is evenly mixed.

Form the Crisps

  • Spoon small mounds of the cheese mixture onto the baking sheet. Leave space between each mound. Flatten slightly with the back of the spoon for even baking.

Bake the Crisps

  • Place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 8–10 minutes until the edges turn golden brown. Watch carefully to prevent burning.

Cool and Serve

  • Remove from the oven and let crisps cool for five minutes. They will firm up and become extra crunchy. Transfer carefully to a plate.

Optional Garnish

  • Sprinkle fresh herbs on top for added flavor. Serve immediately for best crunch. Enjoy your cheesy, spicy snack.

Notes

  • Use sharp cheddar for strong flavor.
  • Chop jalapeños finely to spread heat evenly.
  • Flatten the crisps for uniform cooking.
  • Watch baking time closely to avoid burning.
  • Cool completely for maximum crunchiness.
