Ingredients

  • Corn syrup – ¼ cup

  • Cream cheese – 8 ounces softened
  • Powdered sugar – 1 cup
  • Mini chocolate chips – ½ cup optional
  • Salt – ¼ teaspoon

Instructions
 

. Toast the Pecans

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spread pecans on a sheet. Toast for 8 minutes until fragrant.

Make the Pecan Mixture

  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Add brown sugar and corn syrup. Cook until thick and bubbly.

Add Vanilla and Pecans

Beat the Cream Cheese

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Use a spoon or mixer.

Add Powdered Sugar

Chill the Mixture

  • Cover the bowl and chill for 15 minutes. This makes it easier to shape.

Shape the Balls

  • Use a spoon or scoop to form balls. Roll them between your hands until smooth.

Add Chocolate Chips (Optional)

  • Roll each ball in mini chocolate chips if you like. Press lightly to stick.

  • Place balls on parchment paper. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
