Ingredients
  

  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14 ounces
  • 1 can Rotel tomatoes with green chilies 10 ounces
  • ½ small onion chopped
  • 1 jalapeño seeded
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin

Instructions
 

Add Tomatoes

  • Add diced tomatoes and Rotel tomatoes to food processor. Do not drain them.

Add Onion and Garlic

  • Add chopped onion and garlic clove. These give strong fresh flavor.

Add Jalapeño

  • Add seeded jalapeño. Remove seeds fully if you want mild salsa.

Add Cilantro

  • Add fresh cilantro leaves. This brings bright and fresh taste.

Add Seasonings

  • Add salt, sugar, cumin and lime juice. These balance flavors well.

Blend Lightly

  • Pulse mixture until smooth but slightly chunky. Do not over blend.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste salsa and adjust salt or lime. Blend again if needed.

Chill Before Serving

  • Chill salsa for thirty minutes. This helps flavors blend nicely.
