Ingredients

  • Canned salmon drained – 2 cups
  • Eggs – 2 large
  • Breadcrumbs – 1/2 cup
  • Onion finely chopped – 1 small
  • Garlic minced – 2 cloves
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh parsley chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Oil for frying – 2 tbsp

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon

  • Drain canned salmon well. Remove any bones if needed. Place it in a mixing bowl. Use a fork to break it into small flakes for smooth patties.

Add Eggs and Mix

  • Add eggs to the salmon. Mix well until fully combined. The eggs help bind everything together and keep the patties firm while cooking.

Add Flavor Ingredients

  • Add chopped onion, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix everything well so the flavors spread evenly in the mixture.

Add Breadcrumbs

  • Add breadcrumbs to the mixture. Stir gently until it forms a soft dough. This helps the patties hold their shape during cooking.

Shape the Patties

  • Take small portions of the mixture. Shape into round flat patties using your hands. Keep them equal in size for even cooking.

Heat the Oil

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Make sure the oil is hot enough before adding patties. This helps create a crispy crust.

Cook the Patties

  • Place patties in the pan carefully. Cook for 3–4 minutes on each side. Turn gently with a spatula until both sides are golden brown.

Drain Excess Oil

  • Remove patties from the pan. Place them on paper towels. This removes extra oil and keeps them light and crispy.

Serve Hot

  • Serve the salmon patties hot. Add your favorite dipping sauce or side dish. Enjoy the crispy texture and fresh flavor.

Notes

  • Use fresh parsley for better flavor.
  • Do not skip lemon juice. It adds freshness.
  • Chill mixture for 10 minutes if too soft.
  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan while frying.
  • Flip patties gently to avoid breaking.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy taste.
