Ingredients

  • 1 cup shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup crab meat
  • 1 cup cooked fish like cod or tilapia
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with butter or oil. This helps prevent sticking and makes serving easier after baking.

Cook the Onion and Garlic

  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until soft. Add garlic and cook for one more minute until fragrant.

Add the Seafood

  • Add shrimp, crab, and fish to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until shrimp turns pink. Stir gently to keep the seafood pieces whole.

Make the Creamy Sauce

  • Pour in heavy cream and milk. Stir well to combine. Add paprika, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture cook for a few minutes until slightly thick.

Combine with Rice

  • Add cooked rice to the skillet. Mix everything gently. Make sure the rice is well coated with the creamy seafood mixture.

Assemble the Casserole

  • Transfer the mixture into the greased baking dish. Spread evenly with a spoon. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top for a rich flavor.

Add Breadcrumbs and Bake

  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the cheese layer. Bake in the oven for 30–35 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh seafood for the best flavor.
  • Do not overcook shrimp, or it becomes tough.
  • Add a little lemon juice for freshness.
  • Use cooked rice to save time.
  • Try different cheeses for a unique taste.
  • Let the casserole rest before serving.
