Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 package cream cheese 8 oz
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 container whipped topping 8 oz
  • 1 package strawberry gelatin 6 oz
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Instructions

Prepare the Pretzel Crust

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter and sugar in a bowl. Press mixture firmly into baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool completely.

Make the Cream Layer

  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Fold in whipped topping gently. Spread this mixture evenly over cooled crust. Seal edges to prevent gelatin from leaking.

Prepare the Strawberry Gelatin

  • In a bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved. Let it cool slightly at room temperature. Do not let it set fully before adding strawberries.

Add Fresh Strawberries

  • Add sliced strawberries into the cooled gelatin mixture. Stir gently so strawberries are evenly coated. This step adds fresh flavor and natural sweetness to the dessert.

Layer the Gelatin Mixture

  • Carefully pour strawberry gelatin mixture over the cream layer. Spread evenly using a spoon. Make sure not to break the cream layer while pouring the liquid.

Chill the Dessert

  • Place the dish in the refrigerator. Let it chill for at least 2 hours. The gelatin should set completely. This step helps layers hold their shape nicely.

Slice and Serve

  • Once fully set, cut into squares. Serve chilled for best taste. Each bite will have crunchy crust, creamy layer, and fruity topping.

Notes

  • Crush pretzels finely for a better crust texture.
  • Let crust cool fully before adding cream layer.
  • Seal cream layer edges to prevent soggy crust.
  • Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
  • Chill long enough for clean slices.
