Ingredients

  • 1 cup blackberry juice
  • 3 tablespoons gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons honey or sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon citric acid for coating

Instructions

Heat the Blackberry Juice

  • Pour blackberry juice into a small saucepan. Warm it on low heat until it becomes hot but not boiling.

Add the Gelatin

  • Sprinkle gelatin slowly over the warm juice. Whisk well until the gelatin melts completely.

Add Sweetener

  • Stir in honey or sugar slowly. Mix until it dissolves and blends with the berry juice.

Add Lemon Juice

  • Pour lemon juice into the mixture. It gives a bright and tangy flavor to the gummies.

Keep Mixing

  • Whisk for a few more seconds. Make sure the mixture stays smooth with no lumps.

Fill the Molds

  • Use a dropper to fill the gummy bear molds. Work slowly so each mold fills neatly.

Chill the Gummies

  • Place the mold in the fridge. Chill for at least one hour until the gummies become firm.

Remove the Gummies

  • Push the gummies out of the mold gently. They should pop out clean and easy.

Coat With Citric Acid

  • Mix a little citric acid with sugar. Toss the gummies lightly for a sour coating.

Serve Fresh

  • Serve the gummies right away or store them for later. Enjoy the sweet and sour bite.

Notes

  • Use silicone molds for easy removal.
  • Do not boil the juice.
  • Add more gelatin for firmer gummies.
  • Adjust citric acid for more sour flavor.
  • Store gummies in a cool and dry place.
