Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter soft
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

Cream the Butter and Sugar

  • Beat soft butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix well so no lumps remain.

Add the Eggs

  • Add eggs one at a time. Beat gently after each egg for a smooth batter.

Add Dry Items

  • Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix slowly so the batter stays thick and creamy.

Add Milk and Vanilla

  • Pour in milk and add vanilla extract. Mix until the batter becomes smooth and rich.

Prepare the Pan

  • Grease a loaf pan. Pour in the batter and level the top with a spatula.

Bake the Cake

  • Bake in a warm oven until golden. Insert a toothpick to check if it comes out clean.

Cool the Cake

  • Let the cake cool in the pan. Then place it on a rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature butter for smooth mixing.
  • Do not overmix or the cake may turn heavy.
  • Use fresh eggs for the best rise.
  • You can add lemon zest for a fresh taste.
  • Serve warm for a soft and tender bite.
