Ingredients
  

  • Fresh strawberries – 2 cups sliced
  • Mixed greens – 4 cups
  • Feta cheese – 1/2 cup crumbled
  • Walnuts or pecans – 1/3 cup
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Balsamic vinegar – 1/2 cup
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions
  

Prepare the strawberries

  • Wash the strawberries well under running water. Remove the green tops using a knife. Slice them into thin pieces. Keep them aside in a bowl for later use.

Make the balsamic glaze

  • Pour balsamic vinegar into a small pan. Add honey and stir well. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes. It will thicken slightly. Turn off heat and let it cool.

Prepare the greens

  • Take a large bowl and add mixed greens. Wash and dry them before use. Fresh and crisp greens give the best taste and texture in this salad.

Add toppings

  • Add sliced strawberries on top of the greens. Then add crumbled feta cheese evenly. Sprinkle walnuts or pecans for a crunchy texture.

Add dressing

  • Drizzle olive oil over the salad. Then pour the cooled balsamic glaze slowly. Do not add too much at once. You can adjust later if needed.

Toss and serve

  • Gently toss the salad using tongs or a spoon. Mix everything lightly. Do not overmix or the strawberries may break. Serve fresh and enjoy immediately.
