Ingredients

  • Champagne grapes – 4 cups
  • Granulated sugar – ½ cup
  • Water – ¼ cup

Instructions

Wash the Grapes

  • Rinse grapes well under cold water. Remove stems. Let grapes stay slightly wet.

Prepare Sugar Mix

  • Place sugar in a small bowl. Set aside. This sugar coats the grapes later.

Dip Grapes

  • Put wet grapes into a large bowl. Toss gently so all grapes stay moist.

Coat with Sugar

  • Add grapes to sugar bowl. Roll gently until each grape is fully coated.

Set on Tray

  • Place coated grapes on parchment paper. Keep space between grapes for best drying.

Chill the Grapes

  • Put tray in the fridge. Chill for thirty minutes until sugar sets nicely.

Serve Cold

  • Remove grapes from fridge. Serve immediately for best crunch and flavor.

Notes

  • Use fresh, firm grapes only.
  • Do not dry grapes fully before sugaring.
  • Use superfine sugar for smoother coating.
  • Chill longer for extra crunch.
  • Serve right after chilling for best texture.
