Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 9- inch pie crust store-bought or homemade

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the pie dish or use a non-stick pie crust for easier serving.

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes

  • Peel and cook sweet potatoes until soft. Mash them using a potato masher or fork until smooth and creamy.

Mix Butter and Sugar

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.

Add Eggs

  • Beat in eggs one at a time, ensuring each egg mixes fully for a creamy filling.

Add Milk and Vanilla

  • Stir in milk and vanilla extract. This makes the filling smooth and adds a rich flavor.

Add Spices

  • Mix in cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. These spices give the pie its warm, classic taste.

Combine with Sweet Potatoes

  • Add the mashed sweet potatoes to the mixture. Stir until fully combined and smooth.

Pour into Pie Crust

  • Carefully pour the filling into the prepared 9-inch pie crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake the Pie

  • Place the pie in the oven and bake for 50 minutes. The filling should be set but slightly jiggly in the center.

Cool and Serve

  • Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
