Ingredients

  • 4 –5 medium cucumbers
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp dill seeds
  • ½ tsp black peppercorns
  • 2 cloves garlic sliced
  • 1 small fresh dill sprig optional

Instructions

Slice the Cucumbers

  • Wash cucumbers and slice them thin or into spears. Place them in a mixing bowl.

Prepare the Pickling Liquid

  • In a bowl, mix vinegar, water, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, dill seeds and black pepper. Stir well.

Add Garlic and Dill

  • Add sliced garlic and fresh dill sprig to the pickling liquid. Mix gently to combine flavors.

Pour Liquid Over Cucumbers

  • Place cucumbers in a glass jar. Pour the pickling liquid over them. Make sure cucumbers are fully covered.

Seal the Jar

  • Close the jar tightly. Refrigerate immediately for best flavor. Pickles will be ready after a few hours.

Chill for Best Taste

  • Let pickles chill in the fridge at least 4 hours. For stronger flavor, leave overnight.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Remove pickles from the jar with tongs or a fork. Serve as a side with burgers, sandwiches or snacks.

Notes

  • Use fresh, firm cucumbers for best crunch.
  • Slice cucumbers evenly to ensure uniform pickling.
  • Adjust sugar and salt to taste.
  • Add extra dill or garlic for stronger flavor.
  • Store in the fridge to keep pickles crisp.
