Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 can 14 oz kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese for topping
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions for topping

Instructions
 

  • Heat the pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook.
  • Stir the beef until brown. Drain extra fat.
  • Add chopped onions and minced garlic. Cook until soft.
  • Stir in tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Add diced tomatoes, beans, and tomato sauce.
  • Pour in beef broth. Stir well.
  • Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, and cayenne.
  • Add salt and black pepper. Mix everything.
  • Bring it to a rolling boil, then lower the temperature.
  • Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring sometimes.
  • Top with cheddar and green onions, then serve hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh spices for better taste.
  • Cook longer for a stronger flavor.
  • Add jalapeños if you like more spice.
  • Use ground turkey for a lighter version.
  • Let the chili sit for a few hours before eating
