Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes peeled and cut
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional

Instructions
 

Step 1:

  • Peel and cut the potatoes into even pieces.

Step 2:

  • Place potatoes in a pot and cover with water.

Step 3:

  • Add a pinch of salt to the water.

Step 4:

  • Boil potatoes for 15–20 minutes until tender.

Step 5:

  • Drain the potatoes and let them rest for a minute.

Step 6:

  • Mash them with a masher until smooth.

Step 7:

  • Add butter, heavy cream, and milk.

Step 8:

  • Mix until creamy and fluffy.

Step 9:

  • Add salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Step 10:

  • Serve warm with your favorite main dish.

Notes

  • Use warm milk and cream for smooth texture.
  • Don’t over-mash the potatoes; they can get gluey.
  • Add roasted garlic for extra flavor.
  • Use real butter for the best taste.
