The Moist Turkey Meatloaf Recipe is a healthy twist on classic meatloaf. Instead of beef, it uses ground turkey, which is lean and light.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For Glaze

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard

Instructions
 

Step 1: Preheat oven

  • Set oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2: Mix ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt and pepper. Mix gently.

Step 3: Shape loaf

  • Place mixture in a greased loaf pan. Shape into a smooth loaf.

Step 4: Make glaze

  • In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Spread half on top of the loaf.

Step 5: Bake

  • Bake for 40 minutes. Remove, spread remaining glaze, and bake for 15–20 minutes more.

Step 6: Rest and serve

  • Let the meatloaf rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the meat; it makes it tough.
  • Use milk to keep the meatloaf moist.
  • Add finely chopped veggies for flavor and texture.
  • Always rest the loaf before cutting.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
