Ingredients

  • Egg roll wrappers – 8 sheets
  • Cooked chicken breast – 1 cup shredded
  • Cream cheese – ½ cup softened
  • Shredded cheddar cheese – ½ cup
  • Green onions – 2 finely chopped
  • Jalapeño – 1 small finely chopped
  • Hot sauce – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper – ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt – ¼ teaspoon
  • Cooking oil – for frying

Instructions

Prepare the Filling

  • Add chicken, cream cheese and cheddar cheese to a bowl. Mix until everything looks creamy and well combined.

Add Flavor

  • Add green onions, jalapeño, hot sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix again until evenly blended.

Set the Wrapper

  • Place one egg roll wrapper flat. Keep one corner facing you for easier rolling.

Add the Filling

  • Spoon filling into the center. Do not overfill. Leave space on all sides.

Roll the Egg Roll

  • Fold bottom corner over filling. Fold sides inward. Roll tightly and seal with water.

Heat the Oil

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Oil should be hot but not smoking.

Fry Until Golden

  • Place egg rolls gently into oil. Fry until golden brown on all sides.

Drain Excess Oil

  • Remove egg rolls using tongs. Place on paper towels to absorb extra oil.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the wrappers.
  • Seal edges tightly to prevent leaks.
  • Fry in batches for even cooking.
  • Adjust hot sauce for mild or spicy taste.
  • Serve fresh for best crunch.
