  • 1/4 cup 60ml honey
  • 1 tablespoon 15g chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon 15g paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon 2.5g cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon 5g garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon 5g onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons 30g brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon 5g salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon 2.5g black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons 30ml vegetable oil
  • Optional extras:
  • 1/2 teaspoon 2.5g crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon 5g dried herbs (thyme or oregano)

Instructions

Step 1. Preheat Oven:

  • Set the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cover sheet with foil.

Step 2. Prepare Wings:

  • Separate and dry chicken wings with paper towels.

Step 3. Make Rub:

  • Mix honey, spices, sugar, salt, and pepper thoroughly.

Step 4. Coat Wings:

  • Toss wings with oil, then coat with rub evenly.

Step 5. Arrange on Sheet:

  • Place wings on a sheet, spaced out evenly.

Step 6. Bake Wings:

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Step 7. Optional Glaze:

  • Add honey glaze in the last 5-10 minutes if desired.

Step 8. Serve:

  • Let wings cool slightly before serving with sides. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh spices and honey taste better.
  • Coat evenly: Make sure each wing is fully covered with the rub.
  • Marinate if possible: Let the wings sit with the rub for more flavor.
  • Bake or fry: Both ways work, but frying makes them crispier.
  • Don’t overcook: Watch the wings to keep them juicy.
