Chinese Fried Ice Cream Recipe is a crispy, sweet and fun dessert. It has a hot crunchy shell outside with cold creamy ice cream inside.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream or any flavor you like
  • 2 cups cornflakes crushed
  • 1 cup shredded coconut optional
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Honey chocolate syrup, or caramel (for topping)
  • Whipped cream and cherries optional garnish

Instructions
 

Step 1:

  • Scoop ice cream into 4 round balls. Place on a tray and freeze until very firm, about 2 hours.

Step 2:

  • Crush cornflakes and mix with shredded coconut in a bowl.

Step 3:

  • Beat eggs with sugar and flour in another bowl.

Step 4:

  • Roll each ice cream ball in the egg mixture.

Step 5:

  • Coat ice cream with crushed cornflakes and coconut mix.

Step 6:

  • Place coated ice cream back in the freezer for at least 1 hour.

Step 7:

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet to 375°F (190°C).

Step 8:

  • Using tongs, fry each ice cream ball for 10–15 seconds until golden.

Step 9:

  • Remove quickly and drain on paper towels.

Step 10:

  • Top with honey, syrup, whipped cream or cherries before serving.

Notes

  • Freeze ice cream balls very firm before frying.
  • Double coat the ice cream for extra crunch.
  • Fry one ball at a time to avoid melting.
  • Use flavored cornflakes for unique taste.
  • Serve right away for best texture.
