Prepare the Pie Crust

  • Place the pie crust into a pie dish. Press gently into the edges. Trim extra dough. Keep it ready while preparing the filling. You can chill it slightly for better results.

Arrange the Pecans

  • Spread pecan halves evenly over the pie crust. Make a single layer. This helps create a nice top texture after baking. The pecans will rise during baking.

Mix the Filling

  • In a bowl, whisk eggs until smooth. Add corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla and salt. Mix until fully combined. The mixture should be smooth and slightly thick.

Pour the Filling

  • Carefully pour the filling over the pecans. Make sure it spreads evenly. Do not disturb the arrangement too much. The pecans will float and form a top layer.

Bake the Pie
