Ingredients
  

  • Mars bars – 6 bars about 300 grams
  • Unsalted butter – 100 grams
  • Golden syrup – 3 tablespoons
  • Rice cereal – 4 cups
  • Milk chocolate – 200 grams

Instructions
 

Prepare the Pan

  • Line a baking tin with parchment paper. Leave extra paper on sides for easy removal later.

Melt Mars Bars

  • Chop Mars bars into pieces. Add them to a saucepan with butter and golden syrup.

Heat Gently

  • Place saucepan on low heat. Stir slowly until everything melts smoothly together.

Remove from Heat

  • Turn off heat once smooth. Do not boil. Let the mixture cool slightly.

Add Rice Cereal

  • Pour rice cereal into a mixing bowl. Add melted Mars mixture on top.

Mix Well

  • Stir gently until all cereal is fully coated. The mix should look sticky and glossy.

Press into Pan

  • Transfer mixture into prepared tin. Press down firmly using a spatula or spoon.

Melt Chocolate

  • Melt milk chocolate in a bowl over hot water or microwave gently until smooth.

Add Chocolate Layer

  • Pour melted chocolate over the cake. Spread evenly to cover the top.

Chill the Cake

  • Place tin in fridge for at least two hours. Let it set fully before slicing.

Notes

  • Use low heat to avoid burning chocolate.
  • Press the base firmly for clean slices.
  • Use dark chocolate for less sweetness.
  • Add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
  • Chill overnight for best texture.
