  • 1 cup black olives pitted
  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp cold water

Instructions

Blend the Chickpeas

  • Add chickpeas to the food processor. Blend until you get a thick paste. Stop and scrape the sides when needed.

Add the Tahini

  • Pour tahini over the chickpea paste. Blend again until the mix becomes smooth and creamy.

Add the Garlic

  • Put garlic cloves in the processor. Blend again to mix the garlic well with the hummus.

Add the Olives

  • Add the black olives now. Blend again until the olives mix fully with the hummus paste.

Add Lemon Juice

  • Pour lemon juice into the mixture. Blend for a few seconds until everything becomes smooth.

Add Olive Oil

  • Add olive oil to the mixture. Blend again for a creamy, rich, and soft hummus texture.

Add Salt and Paprika

  • Sprinkle the salt and paprika. Blend again for a well-balanced and tasty hummus flavor.

Add Cold Water

  • Pour cold water slowly. Blend until the hummus becomes silky, soft, and smooth.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the hummus. Add more lemon, salt, or olive oil if you want stronger flavor.

Serve Your Hummus

  • Spoon the hummus into a bowl. Top with olive slices or a drizzle of olive oil.

Notes

  • Use cold water to make the hummus more creamy.
  • Remove chickpea skins for an extra smooth texture.
  • Use good quality olives for a rich and bold flavor.
  • Add more lemon if you enjoy a sharp tangy taste.
  • Let hummus rest for ten minutes to blend the flavors.
