  3. Remove seeds with a spoon.
  4. Brush inside with olive oil.
  5. Place squash cut side down on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes.
  7. Cool and scrape strands with a fork.
  8. Cook meat in a skillet until brown.
  9. Add sauce and spices. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  10. Mix ricotta with half Parmesan.
  11. Turn squash halves into boats with strands.
  12. Fill boats with meat sauce and ricotta mix.
  13. Add mozzarella and leftover Parmesan on top.
  14. Bake boats for 10 minutes.
  15. Broil for 2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  16. Garnish with basil leaves.
